Balatro has hit five million sales

Addictive poker-themed roguelike Balatro has bought over five million copies so far.
That’s in line with Harvey Elliott, the CEO of writer PlayStack, who informed attendees at Pocket Gamer Connects London 2025 concerning the milestone – as reported by our sibling title PocketGamer.biz – including that this was an “incredible” feat.
At final official depend, again in December, Balatro had bought 3.5 million copies. No sales of the indie title have been bouyed by the truth that it received huge at The Game Awards.
“Selling five million items of any sport is an unimaginable milestone worthy of celebration,” said Elliott.
“To achieve it less than a year from launch, with a game made by a solo developer is even more special.
“I am incredibly proud of the developer, LocalThunk, and the whole Playstack team who have rallied around the game to ensure it continues to go from strength to strength.”
