Pocketpair video games, the developer behind the controversial but beloved Palworld, has introduced that it’s embarking on its first publishing endeavor with Surgent Studios, the staff behind Tales of Kenzera: ZAU (thanks, VGC).

Set to be launched later this yr, the ‘quick’ horror sport will not be associated to the Tales of Kenzera branding, and neither is it the in-development title generally known as ‘Project Uso’. Instead, Abubakar Salim, CEO of Surgent Studios, states that the sport shall be “a mile marker between where we’ve come from and where we’re going”.

Details on what the title will entail are understandably slim at this stage, however judging from feedback from Salim, it sounds prefer it would possibly characterize “a pattern in the entertainment industry”:

“Both Surgent and Pocketpair are well-versed in taking dangers. We seen a sample within the leisure trade, and Pocketpair has given us the chance to make a horror sport about it. It shall be quick and bizarre, and we predict gamers shall be keen on what we have now to say.

“We’re still in earnest conversation about further projects set in the Tales of Kenzera universe, but this will be a standalone piece: a mile marker between where we’ve come from and where we’re going.”

Pocketpair is presently within the midst of a authorized battle with Nintendo over alleged patent infringements in Palworld. Despite this, the sport has seen immense success and has most lately been launched on the PS5 alongside PC and Xbox.
